№ 514 Transgender Flag Earrings
These earrings feature a beautiful mix of gemstones which represent the Transgender Pride Flag! This item is available for pre-order and will ship out by Friday, June 27th.
The Transgender Flag was created in 1999 by Monica Helms, a transgender woman and was first shown at a pride parade in Phoenix, Arizona in 2000. Light blue and pink are featured because they are traditionally associated with baby boys and girls. The white stripe in the middle stands for those who are intersex, transitioning or consider themselves having a neutral or undefined gender.
These Transgender Flag earrings feature turquoise, pink tourmaline and Herkimer diamond. The stones are mixed with handmade Thai silver beads and sterling silver findings. Read more about the stone meanings below.
Earrings measure 1 ½” including earwire.
Turquoise has traditionally been thought of as a stone to unite earth and sky. It is considered a strengthening stone while also instilling inner calm and enhancing intuition. I use turquoise that is hand carved in Afghanistan with bold cuts and a matte finish as well as more highly polished stones hand cut in China and India.
Tourmaline comes in many colors and is considered a cleansing stone which can transform dense energy into a lighter vibration. It is believed that tourmaline can help one develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
Herkimer diamonds can be an energizing stone that aids in creativity and attuning to ones highest self and is said to help recall and understand our dreams.
