My name is Silvija and I am the artist behind Three Lines Studio.  I am so glad you're here and would like to tell you a bit about myself and my business.

I have been an avid jeweler for more than two decades.  I draw inspiration from the materials themselves, from high quality gemstones to antique and ancient beads from around the world.

I feel a deep connection to the history of the bead trade and the ritual of personal adornment.  I believe beads are a link into our ancestry and the natural world.  The bead trade is an ancient tradition dating back to early civilizations; we always found a way to adorn ourselves.  I feel honored to be a part of this custom and hope you enjoy your jewelry as much as I enjoyed making it!

I came up with name Three Lines Studio a number of years ago when I heard about a book, "Novels in Three Lines" by Félix Fénéon who published news stories during 1906 in a French Newspaper.  He condensed stories into three lines, carefully selecting his language to create tales of everyday life.  I instantly fell in love with this concept of simple, elegant phrasing, keeping only what best serves the whole; I felt it captures the essence of my jewelry perfectly.

Over the years, the concept of Three Lines Studio has shifted and morphed with me, as I myself have grown and changed.  Throughout this process, I have enjoyed leaning into the flexibility of the name and fall more deeply in love with what it continues to reflect in me.

I have slowly been crafting a life of simplicity - one that centers around creativity, community, and caring for others and the planet.  I look forward to the ways this life will continue to change and adapt and I hope you will come along for the ride.
