About
Three Lines Studio is unique, quality jewelry that is hand-made in Northeast Ohio by Silvija Koschnick.
Silvija has been an avid jeweler for more than two decades. Their work captures the beauty of nature by using high quality gemstones, oxidized sterling silver, and antique & ancient components from around the world.
As a second generation jeweler, Silvija grew up in their mother's bead store. Their mother Ruth and step-father Ebrima, were both antique bead traders who traveled the world collecting rare and antique beads. Silvija's interest in travel began at 15, when they first traveled to The Gambia in West Africa to visit Ebrima's family. Since then, Silvija has traveled around the world seeking cultural understanding and unique artisan goods.
Silvija feels a deep connection to the history of the bead trade and the ritual of personal adornment, believing beads are a link into our ancestry and the natural world. The bead trade is an ancient tradition dating back to early civilizations; we always found a way to adorn ourselves.
Silvija is a proud queer, non-binary person, and is an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community. When they are not in their jewelry studio, Silvija is an avid artist, a professional bodyworker, and a nature enthusiast.
The name Three Lines Studio is a nod to "Novels in Three Lines" by Félix Fénéon, a French journalist from the early 1900s. He condensed stories into three lines, carefully selecting his language to create tales of everyday life. Silvija enjoys the art of simple, elegant phrasing, keeping only what best serves the whole; feeling it captures the essence of their jewelry.
Over the years, the concept of Three Lines Studio has shifted and morphed with Silvija, as they themselves have grown and changed. Throughout this process, Silvija has enjoyed leaning into the flexibility of the name and falls more deeply in love with what it continues to reflect in them.
