Hand carved carnelian from Nepal is set in a sterling silver bezel and hangs from a sterling silver ring.  The chain for this necklace is a substantial cable, creating an industrial look, mixed with the soft quality of the handmade nature of the carnelian bead.

Carnelian ranges from a more transparent light orange to rich dark opaque rust color.  Mirroring the colors of the rising and setting sun, carnelian is believed to symbolize warmth, joy and bold energy.

Pendant is 1 ½” long and hangs from a sturdy chain measuring 17 ½” and is finished with a 9mm lobster claw clasp.  All chain and findings are oxidized sterling silver.
